Our Product

We truly love working with concrete. It is durable and long lasting and can be crafted into virtually limitless combinations of colours, shapes and styles, and just like timber and other stone products, no two concrete items will ever look exactly the same, making each one truly unique. Its versatility is endless.

The evolution of modern concrete allows for a thinner, lighter product that is flexible in use and application. Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete (GFRC) is our method of choice for this reason. With an average weight of 40kg per m2, all concrete pieces can be made offsite and installed at your convenience, making it a mess-free, easy process.

Concrete Care

By its nature, concrete is a porous material. We use a high-quality, food safe sealer, which penetrates the concrete, filling the pores and forming a microfilm with a natural satin appearance on the surface. It offers excellent stain resistance and with due care, it is a long-lasting, low maintenance product. Cleaning with a wet cloth is usually enough but for more stubborn mess, a non-acidic multi-purpose cleaner will do the job. Cleaning any spills as they occur will prolong the life of your sealer and bench top. If you notice your sealer ageing or not performing, it can easily be touched up on site.

Concrete is a durable and hardy product. However, just like timber and stone products, edges and corners are susceptible to chipping if due care is not taken. The sealer helps prevent scratches, but this doesn’t mean you can use your bench top as a chopping board! Cutting, dragging or scraping items across your concrete bench top will damage it.

Although concrete is a tough material, it still requires a little care.

  • Please avoid using your concrete as a cutting board. Like other materials, this will almost certainly scratch it.

  • Do not drag items across the surface. Instead, lift them up and place them down carefully.

  • Avoid placing hot pans/items directly on to the concrete.

  • Never use bleach, acidic or other harsh chemicals. A wet cloth and multipurpose cleaner will handle any spill. Avoid Environment Friendly Cleaners as they are usually made with citrus/acidic based products.

  • Allow airflow under items placed on the concrete surface by place rubber bumpers

If well looked after, your concrete item should be a long lasting item. If at any point you notice a change in your sealer performance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
